James is a Senior Associate in the firm’s dispute resolution practice.
James has been practising as a solicitor in corporate and commercial law for over 6 years. Prior to joining Deutsch Miller in 2015, James was a solicitor in the leveraged and acquisition finance practice group at Herbert Smith Freehills, where he worked on a number of complex and high profile transactions for several leading private equity firms.
James was also a Tipstaff to the Honourable Justice P A Bergin, former Chief Judge in Equity in the Supreme Court of New South Wales.
James graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce (Majors in Finance and Accounting). As part of his law degree, James also studied international and comparative business law at the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany.
Outside of the law, James enjoys playing cricket and is an aspiring guitarist.
