Shonie is an Associate in our Corporate and Commercial practice at Deutsch Miller with particular experience in commercial advisory and dealing with international jurisdictions.
Shonie’s combination of private practice and in-house experience allows her to understand and appreciate unique commercial challenges and tailor legal advice to both legal and non-legal staff.
Prior to joining Deutsch Miller, Shonie specialised in providing commercial advice for a variety of clients including multinational, public, private, not-for-profit, religious and State entities across a broad range of sectors. She also has in-house experience working in the M&A/Corporate Venture Capital and the Asia Pacific legal teams of a ASX-50 healthcare company.
As a natural communicator, Shonie develops strong relationships with all of her clients and smoothly manages matters through to completion, often exceeding client expectations. Open communication is important to Shonie, and her clients appreciate this and trust her advice.
Shonie’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from The University of New South Wales and Tilburg University (the Netherlands).
Outside of work, Shonie organises and choreographs dance performances for community cultural events, enjoys going on long coastal walks and has an embarrassing obsession with Brooklyn Nine Nine.
